“Battle of the Strands” – the “extrene” hair styling competition – took place in New York City on April 14th, 2013, kicking off the International Beauty Show. The team from the Oscar Blandi Salon won first place.

Kelley Donahue, edtor-in-chief of American Salon, was among the judges. next, the winning team will move on to the semi-finals, which will be held in October in Las Vegas.
